For a while now I’ve been thinking about starting a Christian Dating website. There are some already out there, but they are of varying quality. Some are free, most are subscription-based. The free ones tend to lack even fairly simple features, the subscription-based sites tend to be rather expensive.
Whilst thinking about these sites, I am also wondering if there could be some better ways to automatically find matches between people. You’re probably familiar with using Amazon. When you look at an item, Amazon remembers what you looked at and tries to suggest other items that you might be interested in.
I know it sounds rather against the spirit of dating, where there is some magic that can’t be explained between two people. But the choices we make, the profiles we view, all build up a pattern, so I get to wondering if that pattern can be analysed to help people.
So, my thinking has got me as far as creating a Christian dating blog where I explore these issues. I hope you join in.
